Creating Experiences. Building People. Making Hospitality Stronger.

Hospitality has never just been about hotels, restaurants or events for Nick Bylund.

It has always been about people.

Guests. Teams. Clients. Partners. Communities.

With a background in Hospitality Management from Oxford Brookes University and a career spanning hotel operations, food & beverage, events, destination management, sales and entrepreneurship, Nick has spent much of his professional life turning ideas into experiences — and experiences into successful businesses.

His philosophy is simple:

Great hospitality happens when people feel welcome, confident and cared for.

Since 2008, Nick has run Creative Gotland, creating and delivering meetings, events, tours and experiences for companies and visitors from around the world. His work has taken him from the operational details on the ground to the strategic discussions that shape an entire project.

That combination has become something of a trademark.

See the big picture. Understand the guest. Get the details right. Make it happen.

Over the years, Nick has increasingly focused on another fundamental part of hospitality: safety, resilience and preparedness.

Because hospitality businesses face a changing world.

Guest expectations change.
Risks change.
Teams change.
Destinations change.

And organisations need to change with them.

Nick is helping develop practical approaches to hospitality safety that make sense in the real world — not simply in policies, manuals or checklists.

For him, safety and hospitality are not opposites.

They strengthen each other.

A well-prepared organisation creates confidence. Confident employees provide better hospitality. And guests who feel both welcome and safe are far more likely to remember an experience for the right reasons.

Nick brings together hospitality operations, project management, sales, training, events and experience design with one consistent ambition:

To build better experiences, stronger teams and more resilient hospitality businesses.

He is at his best where ideas need turning into action — bringing people together, creating structure, solving problems and finding the practical route from “What if?” to “Let’s make it happen.”

Because ultimately, great hospitality is not created by buildings or systems.

It is created by people.
