Johan Klang

Johan Klang has over 40-years of experience within the Hospitality Industry having worked in multiple countries in various positions including over 25 years as a senior manager, 15 of these as Hotel General Manager.

Between 2011 & 2026 Johan worked for Radisson Hotel Group in Africa, leading hotels and teams in Nigeria, Libya, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Zambia. The role as GM has a strong focus on Safety and Security; is an integral part of developing staff and enhancing properties. Is also a regular part of working with owners as well as interaction with various authorities & organisations. As GM ensuring that guests, staff and property operate in a secure environment; requires strong local understanding, robust routines and diligent attention by the leadership team.  

Between 1993 and 1998, upon completion of his Master’s Degree, Johan joined the Göteborg Education Authority, was part of the team that developed the Degree Level Hospitality Program called Gothenburg International Hospitality College (aka KY-Hospitality Management). In his role as Programme Director, he was a part of the leadership team – Scheduling, teaching, admin, working with international universities, and various other projects.

Johan background of leading hotels, working in diverse locations, developing concepts, ensuring successful change and his skills in training teams, brings a deep understanding of what an organisation needs to enhance for the Safety & Security of their Guests, Staff and property.
