Herman Kresfelder

Herman Kresfelder is a security and safety professional based in South Africa with over 35 years of experience in hospitality, corporate, and community security. He is the Founder of Spoorvatonline and previously founded Five Star Hotel Security Services, where he managed security operations for leading hotels and wineries in the Western Cape. His work spans security consulting, procedural development, CCTV and alarm systems, anti-poaching initiatives, and crisis management across South Africa, Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, and Mozambique. Herman now joins the StaySafe Certification Advisory Board to contribute practical expertise and help advance global standards of safety, resilience, and Duty of Care in hospitality and tourism.

Having spent decades protecting hotels, farms, and communities across Africa, I share StaySafe’s vision of a globally respected safety framework.
